Welcome to the Bentinck

The Bentinck's humble beginnings started as a miner's welfare way back in 1926 providing entertainment for miners in the local area.  Since the decline of the mines, the welfare was handed over to Ciswo, a charity run organisation that provides help for families of miners.

The Bentinck continues to provide a social hub for the local community providing live entertainment, venue hire, bingo, and football leagues only to name a few of the local services we provide.

We value each and every member to fund the charity, helping the families of miners and bringing closer together our local community and keeping you entertained!

The trustees of the Bentinck Miners’ Welfare Trust need your help. We’re going to be applying for grant funding to contribute towards our essential costs such as lighting, heating, water and insurance. Reducing these overheads will allow us to put more of our resources into the activities and events that benefit our community. To strengthen our funding applications, we’d love your input and support.

Please take a few minutes to complete this short survey – your feedback is invaluable, and every response makes a difference.
