The Bentinck offers three unique spaces under one roof, each with its own character.
Whether you're planning a birthday party, wedding reception, corporate event, or something else, we can help make it happen. We’re flexible, offer great value, and truly want your event to be a success.
We welcome clubs and associations as well as private parties. Children's parties are welcome. Please note that we don't currently accept bookings for 18th birthday parties.
The Ballroom
Our original dance hall, built in 1923, is the highlight of The Bentinck. With its high vaulted ceiling and original wooden stage, it has a unique atmosphere you won't find elsewhere. It's rare to see a venue like this outside London.
Capacity: 200 standing

Ideal for: Live music events, theatre, wedding receptions, large private parties, film & TV production, club nights
The Concert Room
Our main bar downstairs is versatile and welcoming, perfect for anything from quiz nights to community gatherings. Most of The Bentinck’s events happen here, and it has everything you need for a great event.

Ideal for: Wakes, birthday parties, smaller private events, meetings
The Beer Garden
Our fantastic newly renovated beer garden contains everything you need for a weekday or weekend event in the fresh air.
As well as picnic tables and parasols, our fantastic stage (with power supply) gives you a platform to host your outdoor event. Children's play equipment and footie goals mean that the kids are entertained whilst you relax, with drinks available from inside or our temporary external bar.

The Bar Lounge
Our 1970s lounge bar is a comfortable, well-equipped space, ideal for smaller gatherings, wakes, birthday parties, or work drinks. It's relaxed, private, and has a fully stocked bar with direct access to the outside.
